The story of Zog’s Dogs started many years back, at the San Francisco Zoo, when Zog was but a boy. After his folks ordered Zog's favorite lunch of hot dogs, young Zog proudly carried the tray over to his mom, pop, and sister at a picnic table.
Out of the sky swooped the largest seagull young Zog had ever seen. The seagull grabbed the hot dogs and flew off towards the Pacific. Young Zog returned to his family with empty hands and a tear in his eye.
His father, who himself had been a hot dogsman in the 1964 World Fair, said, "Boy, do not worry about these hot dogs."
"But I love them," said young Zog.
"If this is true, then one day you will take this love and you will share it with the
world," said his father. "And this will make you happy."
Many years later, Zog indeed took his love of hot dogs, and opened
Zog's Dogs. And to this day, it makes him happy to serve tasty hot
dogs with friendly service to all.
